As I mentioned before, I have many projects that I am always working on. As a result, I occasionally get sidetracked and create short stories. Sometimes its a new story, a first chapter, or maybe even a side characters story.

This short story is the first chapter in my Dark Lord series. The first story that I wrote in this world is more of a Novelette (not quite a short story but not quite a novella either). As such, I am still working on it and intend it to be one of the plot lines within the book. This chapter, however, is the start of the book and is the main focal point for the idea. It was published in Utah Valley Universities Warp & Weave Fall 2020 Journal, which I would recommend reading for it’s unique stories that they offer.
