Lost and Found

Here we are one month later, and in my case, one year older. That’s right, this month’s my birthday and I will now be 32 years old. My how time does fly. Looking back, I don’t think I would have ever thought I’d be where I am today but looking at my life right now, I know that this is the happiest I have ever been! I have a wife who loves me and supports me in all that I do, and I have three wonderful children whom I love and cherish dearly.

On another note, my job hunting has ended! I now work (or officially begin work on November 1st) as a full-time employee for my current employer. Nothing else has changed except for the opening full-time position that they offered to me as soon as it became available. It may not be my dream job (working as a full-time author), but this is a close second. I have loved working my job and am excited to see what kind of career I can make from this wonderful opportunity.

Now on to my writing updates. I have made slow progress to The Necromancer’s Deceit, but I have been able to push back a burnout that I have experienced the past month or two because of all the writing I was trying to accomplish along with the stress of looking for a full-time job. I have started getting into the groove again and am looking forward to making progress on that front.

I have worked a little more on the world building for The Dark Lord of the Past and am super excited to work on that once I am done with my first series. I wish that I could write faster but as I have discovered it is better to naturally progress to a faster work pace than to start at a fast pace. I will be looking forward to share all of my stories with you as time and strength will allow.

For this month’s short story, I have what could be called a sequel to the one I wrote before titled Muldrix, and I hope that you all will enjoy this one as much as the first. I know that the image I have shared with you does not tie into the story itself, but I could not resist sharing a baby dragon on a jack-o-lantern for this spooky season.

Here is the link to my second Muldrix short story; Lost and if you wish to peruse my growing list of short stories, I have placed them all together on a page that you may explore up at the top of the screen next to about me!

Happy Halloween!
