Hello everyone!

Firstly I just want to thank all of you who do read these posts. It means a lot to me to know that someone out there enjoys what I write to read my ramblings.

Things in the past month have been tiring.

As I have mentioned before, my wife is pregnant (Wahoo!) but she has been put on modified bedrest. Which means that when I get home from work I have to help take care of the kids and the house so that Carissa can take a break and stay off of her feet. What this means for me is that I am spending a little more time making sure the house is clean and presentable so that Carissa doesn’t have to. As a result I have been staying up later each night and have been feeling exhausted. I haven’t been loosing so much sleep that I can’t function each day, but it’s less than what I normally get which means that I have been feeling it more.

This has also been cutting into my writing time. I find it harder to write when I’m exhausted and my brain is telling me to sleep rather than to write. I’m hoping that things will adjust soon and I’ll be able to pick up again.

As things are, I have written quite a bit in my son’s story that I’m making for him. I’m nearly half way there. Just so you know, this is still longer than those DragonMaster books and definitely longer than magic tree house, but not by much. I’m hoping to have most of it written by the end of this month. My wife and I are worried that if I don’t get it done soon this may affect Christmas since that’s when I want to give it to him.

We also decided that I was going to add some illustrations into the mix that I will draw myself. I don’t consider myself a fantastic artist but I think I can make some okay art, and that coupled with a fantasy book that I made will make for a fantastic gift from the heart to my son.

This will affect when the next Muldrix chapter will be released. I am still working on it, but with helping out at home and trying to get this chapter book written for my son I’ve had to put all other stories on hold. I will get to Muldrix again, and when I do I will write a ton so that I can have plenty of chapters to keep the updates going and on time. I’m sorry that I’m slow. Being a dad and having a full time job really takes a lot out of my writing time. I would never trade my role as a father, but it is my dream to one day have my job be writing the books that I love. I hope that day comes. For now I think I will enjoy sleeping this weekend.
